Wedding Invites
Another sneak-peak for a commission i'm working on! I've been asked to design wedding invites for the lovely Hazel and Donald, and the theme is the lovely nursery rhyme ' The Owl & the Pussycat'.
I excitedly doodled a few ideas and went crazy with Pinterest for inspiration. I presented to Donald and Hazel my ideas, and together we all decided on one design over the others. Funnily enough this was the first idea I had! Ever since, I have been playing with characters, compositions and calligraphy - all things i adore to explore in projects.
It's great to be running this commission alongside the graphic design project. I love all types of design, but my heart truly lies with illustration, particularly children's books, characters and card design. I thought it might become tiring to be working on two projects, as well as a full time job, but I feel that because the two commissions are so different, it really varies my workload and keeps me fresh!
